The Pacific Alumni Association is accepting nominations for the 2024 Distinguished Alumni awards from now through July 15. More than 260 distinguished Tigers have received these awards, the most prestigious bestowed by the Alumni Association.

Every year the Alumni Association recognizes some of the university’s most successful alumni. Anyone may nominate a living alumnus from Pacific for these awards, and criteria can be found on the Alumni Association website.

Among last year’s distinguished alumni are a philanthropic pharmaceutical couple, an NFL and NBA sports agent, a pioneer for women’s rights, an all-star coach, and a high-tech entrepreneur. The winners were recognized at a formal affair held at the DeRosa University Center this past January.

“We are continually amazed by the caliber of alumni who graduate from Pacific and become leaders in their fields of study, their communities and their places of service,” said Kelli Page ‘87 Associate Vice President for Alumni Relations. “With these awards, we are able to recognize Tigers who have boldly shaped the future, who express their passion and admiration for Pacific, and who exemplify the quality of Pacific graduates as a whole.”

The Distinguished Alumni Awards began in 1956 to recognize Pacific alumni who have achieved distinction through their accomplishments and leadership that show specific, meritorious service to the quality and advancement of Pacific.

Nominations can come from alumni or friends of the university and are due no later than July 15 to be considered for the 2024 ceremony. They can be completed online. Although registration for the awards ceremony is still to come, the annual Distinguished Alumni Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on Feb. 3, 2024.
