Safe Zone Training
Safe Zone Training
10:00 a.m. - 03:00 p.m.
Presented by the Center for Identity and Inclusion, Safe Zone Training is geared towards increasing your awareness of identities and concepts related to gender & sexuality and discuss ways to foster safe, affirming, and equitable spaces for the LGBTQ+ community at Pacific and beyond. The training is open to student leaders, faculty, and staff.
The training is offered in two-part sessions with each session being two hours. Session I provides a basic understanding of the identities and concepts relating to gender & sexuality and an introduction on ways to foster safe, affirming and equitable spaces. Session II builds on topics learned in Session I and provides an opportunity for more in-depth conversations on how to create safe, affirming and equitable spaces as it relates to your work. The session is tailored based on the needs of the participants. You must complete Session I to attend Session II.
Location: Center for Identity and Inclusion, Main Lounge, McCaffrey Center, 1st Floor
