Shu-En Lim

Shu-En A. Lim, AuD, F-AAA, CCC-A, earned her bachelor of science in communication sciences and disorders from Northwestern University in 2007. In 2011 she earned her doctor of audiology from Vanderbilt University, where she served as a research assistant at the Dan Maddox Hearing Aid Research Laboratory. In addition, she completed a clinical fellowship at University of California, San Francisco in 2011. She joined the Pacific faculty in 2015.

Dr. Lim joins the Pacific Hearing and Balance Center with previous experience in pediatric and adult diagnostic evaluation and rehabilitation. Her experience encompasses hearing devices, cochlear implants, vestibular assessments, tinnitus counseling and auditory rehabilitation.  

What she loves about teaching at Pacific is the opportunity for faculty to carve out time to coach and mentor their students so they may become leaders in the field of audiology. She has also observed that Pacific faculty collaborate well together and have complementary areas of expertise. It is Dr. Lim's goal to train up the next generation of audiologists who will elevate the profession and make a difference in the lives of their patients. She views it as a privilege to be able to watch students progress in their knowledge and develop their skill set.  

Dr. Lim is a California licensed dispensing audiologist and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, board-certified by the American Board of Audiology and has her certificate of clinical competence in Audiology (CCC-A) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is also a member of the California Academy of Audiology and previously served as Secretary.
