Osagie Omoruyi
Osagie Omoruyi ’19, PharmD started at University of the Pacific as a pre-pharmacy student and earned his doctor of pharmacy in 2019. He completed a PGY1 managed care residency at Kaiser Permanente in the Central Valley and a PGY2 health-system pharmacy administration and leadership residency at Kaiser Permanente in Downey.
His love for math and science, combined with an interest in health care led him to pursue a career in pharmacy. What he loves about Pacific is the opportunities to connect with alumni from various fields.
He is a member of the Kappa Psi pharmaceutical fraternity and the Phi Lambda Sigma pharmacy honor society. As a student, he served as president of Pacific’s American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) and in 2019 he served as the coordinator for the APhA-ASP Region 8 Midyear Regional Meeting. His advice for those interested in pursuing a leadership role is to overcome self-doubt by focusing on serving others.
Dr. Omoruyi is proud of his Nigerian heritage. His hobbies center around music and food. Originally from Long Beach, he is a loyal Los Angeles Lakers fan.
