Real World Curriculum
McGeorge boasts robust curricular opportunities for our students to apply legal theory to practice and develop the professional skills necessary to find success in a variety of settings. We ensure that our students complete at least two authentic, law practice experiences (clinics or externships). Students will:
- Receive 11 credit hours of experiential learning coursework/training
- Receive a judge or practitioner mentor via our innovative Experiential Learning Mentor Program
- Take four semesters of classes focusing on the skills lawyers agree are most critical to success in practice: legal research, writing, analysis, and advocacy
Our nationally recognized Mock Trial and Moot Court competition teams and law journals, provide our students with additional opportunities to engage in the learn-by-doing model that is so important to the backdrop of legal instruction.
