¡Alambrista! (1977) won the Caméra d’Or in 1978 at the Cannes Film Festival, and follows Roberto, a Mexican man who crosses the southern border and works as a farmworker to support his family at home. Renowned for its depiction of the undocumented experience, ¡Alambrista! offers an intimate and nuanced vision unlike any film before or after its release. (1hr 36 min)
