APID Anime Movie Night "My Neighbor Totoro"
APID Anime Movie Night "My Neighbor Totoro"
05:30 p.m. - 07:30 p.m.
Join APID Student Services for our monthly Anime Movie Night at the Center for Identity & Inclusion! Each month, we will showcase a new animated film or TV show and discuss the impacts of these media on APID art, culture, and lived experiences.
For December, we will be watching the Studio Ghibli classic, “My Neighbor Totoro” (1988), which is an animated fantasy and drama film. This iconic movie follows main characters Satsuki and Mei as they move to the countryside to be closer to their mother who is recovering from a long-term illness. While settling into their new home, they encounter mysterious nature spirits that will soon be pivotal to helping them process their grief and sadness.
