Jim Uchizono

James A. Uchizono, PharmD, PhD earned his bachelor of science in chemistry and bachelor of science in biology from University of California, Irvine. He earned his doctor of pharmacy and doctor of philosophy in pharmaceutical chemistry from University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Uchizono also interned and worked for Genentech, Inc. He joined the Pacific pharmacy family in 2000. He received the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy’s Teacher of the Year award in 2005 and Pacific’s Eberhardt Teacher/Scholar Award in 2006.
Dr. Uchizono has previously served Pacific as Director of the Pre-Pharmacy Advantage Program, Associate Dean of Pre-Health Programs, Associate Dean of Recruitment, Admission, Enrollment, Graduate Dean (interim) and Associate Provost for Research.
He is a member of American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, American Pharmacists Association, California Pharmacists Association, California Society of Health-System Pharmacists and San Joaquin Pharmacists Association.
